Every time I am photographing the coast, I am reminded it is timeless. Well, sort of. It changes constantly, but looking at images that span over 5 years, I realize they could have been taken yesterday or 20 years ago. This particular portfolio contains images of a 100-yard span of the coastline on Folly Beach, in Charleston County, South Carolina. There are 3 rock groins that help hold the sand from the eroding waves. These groins are timeless.
